Munich Is Proposing A Redundancy Scheme For Its Staff

The historic Barcelona-based sports footwear brand Munich has proposed a collective redundancy plan (ERE) on economic grounds, citing a fall in revenue from its high-street shops. The process is being negotiated with the workers’ legal representatives; the consultation period ends in mid-August. The plan includes the closure of shops in Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Malaga, Zaragoza and San Sebastian, amongst others, with around 65 redundancies expected.
