(Original Caption) 12/11/1934-New York, NY: The attention of the entire world centered on this man, Bruno Richard Hauptmann, former German machine gunner and an unemployed Bronx, NY, carpenter, when he was arrested in New York in September in connection with the disappearance and murder of the infant son of Col. Lindbergh. On January 2, 1935, Hauptmann will go on trial at Flemington, NJ.
