The Aedes mosquito is a known vector for several viruses, including West Nile virus, yellow fever virus, dengue virus, chikungunya virus, and Zika virus. Recently, the USA has been on alert after nearly 300 cases of mosquito-borne West Nile virus were reported. The virus gained significant attention after multiple people tested positive.
