Scots Tug Of War
14th July 1951: A team of Lovat family members competing in a tug o'war contest at a gathering of the Fraser clan. Left to right - Brigadier Anthony Keswick, Hugh Fraser MP, Captain Foster, Lord Lovat, Brigadier Fitzroy Maclean MP and Colonel Sandy Fraser. Lord Lovat organised the traditional clan gathering at Beaufort Castle, Inverness, for around 7,000 family members from across Europe and Canada. Events included a tug of war, a band of pipers and a march past his home in the Big Field of Dounie.
