(Original Caption) Serge Rubinstein, financier and convicted draft dodger was found dead today amid mysterious circumstances in his richly furnished home on Fifth Avenue at 62nd Street. This is a scene inside the Rubinstein home as reporters and photographers thronged around police commissioner Francis P. Adams (center, hatless, facing camera) who arrived on the scene to direct investigation into the mystery. The body of the 46 year old Russian born millionaire was lying on the floor in his bedroom, his mouth taped and his hands and feet tightly bound. Commissioner Adams said Rubinstein's room was "upset" and indication were there had been either "a struggle or a robbery." Rubinstein, who was facing deportation, and act he has fought through the courts for 11 years, recently had been the object of threats, according to his attorney, Edward Ennis.
