George Wald
US scientist George Wald (1906 - 1997) receives the 1967 Nobel Prize in Medicine from King Gustav Adolf of Sweden at the Stockholm Concert Hall, 10th December 1967. Wald shared the prize with Granit and Hartline for their work on the physiology of the eye. Behind them is is Princess Margaretha of Sweden (1899 - 1977).
