(Original Caption) 8/18/1959-San Francisco, CA: Here's one of the reasons the San Francisco Giants continue to remain at the top of the heap of the National League -- the big bats of the three Willies above. Pictured (L to R) are outfielders Willie Mays and Willie Kirkland, and first baseman Willie McCovey. McCovey, used as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning against Cincinnati 8/17, drove in the go-ahead run with a ground single to right through a pulled-in infield.
