Romanian-born German author Herta Mueller addresses a press conference in Berlin on October 8, 2009. The Swedish Academy announced Mueller had won the 2009 Nobel Literature Prize for her work "with the concentration of poetry and the frankness of prose, depicts the landscape of the dispossessed".
