COPENHAGEN, DENMARK - NOVEMBER 24: Queen Margrethe of Denmark speaks at the press conference during rehearsals of the new set up of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker in Tivoli for which the Queen has taken on the role of production and costume designer on November 24, 2016 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Queen's artistic activities are multiple. She made illustrations to Tolkien's The Lord of the Ring's Danish edition, paintings, décopage, production designs and costume designs for many ballets and for screen adaptations of several of the Danish fairy tale author H. C. Andersen. She has designed and embroidered chasubles (antependium) to many churches, most recently (October, 2016) the cathedral of Luther in Wittenberg, Germany. In this version of The Nutcracker Copenhagen Tivoli - with it's very own Harlekin, Columbine and Pjerrot and fantasy world - creates the backdrop for young Clara's dream world and within which the ballet plays out. The ballet plays from December 01 - 30, 2016 in the Tivoli Concert Hall. (Photo by Ole Jensen - Corbis/Corbis via Getty Images)
