FRANCE-PARIS-ENVIRONMENT-CHAMPS-ELYSEES
People ride bicycles on the Champs-Elysees Avenue in Paris, on May 8, 2016, as French capital's most famous avenue goes car-free for a day, in the first instalment of a monthly effort to tackle pollution in Paris. After this weekend's pilot, the tree-lined two kilometre-long (1,2 mile) avenue leading to the Arc de Triomphe will be free of cars on the first Sunday of every month to coincide with the monthly free admission to the city's museums.
