One of two Chinese naval warships, (guided missile frigates) "Zhoushan" and FFG "Xuzhou" of the Chinese PLA Navy 7th Escort Task Force arrives in the Port of Durban on April 4, 2011. The 7th Task Force was dispatched by the Chinese government in November 2010 to perform escorting missions in the Gulf of Aden and waters of Somalia.The main task was to ensure the security of Chinese vessels and personnel transiting the Gulf of Aden and providing protection to chartered vessels working for international organisztions.The frigates were dispatched to Libya on an escorting mission for Greek Passenger Liner "Venizelons," which carried 2,142 besieged Chinese personnel evacuated from Libya.
