VENICE, CA - JULY 8, 2021 - - L.A.P.D. officers approach a a sleeping homeless woman at her encampment in Venice around 3 a.m. Thursday morning in Venice on July 8, 2021. Officers asked if she would like housing before saying that she could not camp at the location. The homeless woman declined housing, packed up and walked away with her belongings. Sanitation crews, working alongside L.A.P.D. officers and workers with St. Joseph Center, were clearing encampments between Windward Ave. and Park Ave along the boardwalk.
