Black Mamba Anti–Poaching Unit

BALULE NATURE RESERVE - JULY 2019:  Nkateko Letti, 28yrs and Cute Grace Mhlongo, 30yrs find an opening below the electric fence that runs parallel to the R40 tar road outside the reserve. Poachers attempting to access the reserve can benefit from burrows which are often dug under the electric fence by Warthog and even Lion who are drawn to the livestock of the local village across the road. In the dry winter months, the dusty cold nights are eerily quiet and the conditions challenging with long hours on rocky sand roads that stretch for hundreds of kilometres.
