(Original Caption) Miss Jane Bolin pictured in her New York office, April 8th, after she had been named by corporation counsel Paul windels to act as assistant corporation counsel for the city. Miss Bolin who was admitted to the New York bar in 1932, is the first negro to be appointed. Miss Bolin will be assigned to work in the Domestic Relations Court.
