Members of German artistic and humanitarian group "Center for political beauty" Emilia Leuchter and Frida Bauman pose near parts of a floating platform which will be set up off the coast of Sicily as part of their project in the international waters to save refugees lives, on October 1, 2015 at the Licata harbor, southern Sicily. The project is to erect 1.000 rescue platforms (6x6m) in the international waters for migrants and refugees who try to cross the Mediterranean sea. According to their website the rescue platform Aylan 1 is equipped with navigation lights, food reserves, an emergency calling device, photovoltaic modules, a flagpole, life belts, a camera and two anchors.
