SAS CEO Mats Jansson announces the settlement with Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier regarding the Dash Q400 incidents during a press conference at the Scandinavian airlines head office in Frosundavik north of Stockholm, Sweden, opn March 10, 2008. In addition to receiving 1 billion Skr (105 million Euro) in compensation for the three Dash Q400 landing gear incidents last year, SAS orders 27 new Bombardier aircraft - 13 CRJ 900 Next gen and 14 Q400 Next gen. SAS was forced to withdraw its Bombardier-made Dash Q400 aircraft at the end of last year after a series of emergency landings caused by problems with the landing gear.
