Caucus of Todays Teachers holds rally to protest lack of air conditioning in DPS schools.
DENVER, CO - AUGUST 26: Margaret Bobb, second from left, a retired DPS secondary science teacher, holds up a sign as she joins other teachers and community supporters in a protest outside of the Denver Public Schools administration building to demand equity for students attending classes in excessively hot classrooms on August 26, 2019 in Denver, Colorado. Organizers of the event says that at least 60 DPS schools lack the needed air conditioning and heat dissipation to conduct classes during hot days. Previous bond and mill levy money was used to purchase and upgrade the Denver Public Schools administration building instead of upgrading facilities at aging schools. They hoped to raise awareness about the conditions students are enduring at older schools. The event was organized by the Caucus of Today's Teachers. (Photo by Helen H. Richardson/The Denver Post)
