Immigrants and immigrant rights supporters marched from Mount Pleasant to The White House on Thursday, February 16, 2017 to stand up for their rights on a day that was proclaimed a strike day for immigrants. Many immigrants refrained from going to work and some businesses closed. Hundreds participated in the march, but many undocumented immigrants were afraid to participate because of recent ICE raids on the immigrant community.
