(Original Caption) Making one of his rare daytime appearances, Langley Collyer, long-haired recluse of 2078 Fifth Avenue, went to felony court today to file a complaint against George Smith, 25-year-old Negro, accused of breaking into a former Collyer residence next door. The retiring Collyer is shown with a stack of newspapers he collected on his subway ride downtown. They will be added to those saved for the day when his blind brother, Homer, regains his sight.
