Jackie Robinson, ace second baseman for the Brooklyn Dodgers, told the House Unamerican Activities Committee today that singer Paul Robeson was "silly" when he declared that American Blacks would not fight against Russia. The testimony of Robinson, whose wife, Rachel, is seated in the background, was arranged by Black spokesmen to repudiate Robinson's statement.
