Denmark's Princess Margrethe in Ballgown

(Original Caption) In Borrowed Finery. Princess Margrethe, heir to the Danish throne, wears a borrowed gown for the dinner-dance she is giving in celebration of her 21st birthday. The Princess, who returned to Britain (where she attends Cambridge) from a vacation in Norway, found that her luggage had been returned, hence the borrowed plumage. She was giving a dinner-dance for some sixty friends at Cambridge, at the Embassy. She is studying Archaeology and International Affairs at Girton College, Cambridge.
