OLONGAPO, PHILIPPINES - OCTOBER 15, 2016: Illegal drug users who recently surrendered to authorities are employed by the local government to make coffins as part of their rehabilitation program in Olongapo city, October 15, 2016. As the number of drug related killings, surrenders and arrests continues to rise, the local government of Olongapo city, north of Manila, thought of a way to help in the rehabilitation of drug dependents, by having them build coffins. Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte's war on drugs has lead to the death of at least 3,700 people as they hope the programme would act as deterrent to would be offenders. With only a handful of drug rehabilitation centers across the nation, authorities have been caught massively overwhelmed from an astounding influx of more than 700,000 surrenders and 15,000 arrests, according to reports.
