They decorate the walls of the Pavilion of the White Robe, where a Bodhisattva (Goddess of Mercy) was worshipped. The frescoes show historical figures or events: representations of Shaolin boxing, Thirteen Monks saving Prince Kinaro against the Uprising of the Peasants and the Bodhisattva Wenshu and Puxian. Armed jousts. The figure to the right is using General Guan's (Da Dao) heavy halberd against an adversary with two swords. To the left, the adept fends off a lance using a stick.
