Hall Garth Comprehensive School, Middlesbrough, Monday 28th March 1994. A masked man, carrying a shotgun and knives, burst into a classroom, ordered the teacher out, lined up all the boys up against a wall and then lunged at three girls with a knife. Nikki Conroy, 12, was killed and two of her classmates, Emma Winter and Michelle Reeve, both 13, lay bleeding profusely from stab wounds. In December 1995, killer Stephen Wilkinson, was convicted of manslaughter with diminished responsibility, and locked up indefinitely in a secure hospital. Pictured. School Sign.
