Art Garfunkel & Paul Simon Concert
Half a million people who hummed Simon and Garfunkel tunes in the 1960s and a number of new fans turned out on the Great Lawn of Central Park to hear their old favorites. And the flow of nostalgia warmed them despite dampness and drizzle. Many arrived at the site Friday night with blankets and sleeping bags. The strains of "Mrs. Robinson," "Scarborough Fair," "Sound of Silence" and other melodies filled the air, as did new tunes by the pals from Forest Hills High School.
