AUG 20 1990 A giant helicopter placed a four-ton tower in place during installation of new high-speed chairlift on Breckenridge Ski Area's Peak 9. The work Sunday was part of the $5 million installation of the "Mercury Superchair". When completed the lift will stretch 2 miles up the mountain.
