Funeral Services for Fannie Lou Hamer

Funeral services were held for Fannie Lou Hamer of Ruleville, one-time sharecropper who became a leader in the Mississippi civil rights movement in the 1960's. United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young, shown, delivered the eulogy. Young told the large gathering that "None of us would have been where we are now had she not been there then." Mrs. Hamer, 60, died March 14th of cancer.
