(Original Caption) Frankfurt Bound to Stand Trial for Kronberg Jewel Theft. Washington, D.C.: Col. Jack W. Durant and his wife, a WAC captain, board an air transport corps plane which will take them back to Frankfurt, Germany to stand trial for the theft of the Hesse Crown Jewels from Kronberg Castle. Mrs. Durant is the former Kathleen B. Nash. They were brought to Washington recently from Chicago where they had been captured in LaSalle Hotel just 24 hours before the building was swept by fire. The jewels, bibles, letters, etc., are valued at many millions of dollars.
