One Year After The Draghi Report

One year after the Draghi Report, the European Commission, led by President UrsulavonderLeyen, has turned the report's roadmap into concrete actionsincluding the Competitiveness Compass, Clean Industrial Deal, AI Gigafactories, a new StateAid Framework, an Affordable Energy Action Plan, and sectorspecific strategies for automotive, chemicals, steel, defense, and startupswhile also rolling out six simplification packages to cut red tape for businesses. Looking ahead, the Commission proposes a 400billion Competitiveness Fund, a 2028 deadline for removing singlemarket barriers, a Battery Booster package, additional digital and militarymobility simplifications, and continues to strengthen strategic trade ties with partners such as Mercosur, Indonesia, India, SouthAfrica, Malaysia, and the UAE.
