Famous circus clown Emmett Kelly amuses his 5-month-old daughter, Stasia, with his clown hat and outsize shoes as he plays with her at the Hotel Belvedere. Although the circus opened at Madison Square Garden April 4th, Kelly was not going through his clowning paces with the show due to labor difficulties. Kelly reportedly informed the circus management that he had been ordered not to appear by the American Guild of Variety Artists, which is seeking to organize the circus performers.
