1981 NFC Championship
SAN FRANCISCO - JANUARY 10: Everson Walls #24 of the Dallas Cowboys is caught out of position as Dwight Clark #87 of the San Francisco 49ers leaps to receive a 6-yard catch of quarterback Joe Montana's pass in the end zone with 51 seconds left, lifting the 49er past the Cowboys 28-27 in the 1981 NFC Championship Game and sending the 49ers to their first Super Bowl. Clark's grab is one of most famous catches in the history of the NFL and will forever be known as "The Catch", at Candlestick Park on January 10, 1982 in San Francisco, California.
