J.Robert Oppenheimer Testifying

Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer, key scientist in the development of the atomic bomb, told the Joint Congressional Atomic Energy Committee today that he knows of no way by which Russia could use American-produced radioisotopes to strengthen her war machine. Oppenheimer was a witness in an open hearing on the charge of Senator Hickenlooper, of IA, that AEC Chief Lilienthal has been guilty of "incredible mismanagement" of the US Atomic Program.
