Cher's Malibu Home

MALIBU, CA - AUGUST 28: Cher lived in this home in 2003, she got away with building a 10-foot wall - three feet higher than zoning allows - around the home. After being told to knock it down four years ago, Cher argued she needed it to keep out stalkers. Then she claimed the wall protected motorists on the Pacific Coast Highway from errant tennis balls. Again the city fathers weren't biting. TV's "Celebrity Justice" reports she took the case all the way to the California Appeals Court before settling. She got to keep her wall in exchange for a $125,000 donation to public schools. August 28, 2003 Malibu California (Photo by Paul Harris/Getty Images)
