Portrait of Charles O Brien Leaving Court
(Original Caption) Charles "Chuckie" O'Brien (L), self-described foster son of ex-Teamsters boss James R. Hoffa, appeared for seven minutes before a federal grand jury 9/3 and refused to cooperate in its investigation to learn how and why Hoffa disappeared. His lawyer, James W. Burdick (R), said O'Brien did not cooperate because the grand jury apparently was "fishing" in Teamsters Union affairs under the cover of a probe into Hoffa's disappearance 37 days ago.
