CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA: British businessman Mark Thatcher is surrounded by the media outside the High Court in Cape Town, 13 January 2004. Mark Thatcher, son of former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher, Thursday pleaded guilty in a Cape Town court to charges of bankrolling an alleged coup plot in oil-rich Equatorial Guinea. Thatcher, 51, was given a choice of either paying three million rand (roughly 380,000 euros, 505,000 dollars) or a five years suspended prison term. He chose to pay the fine by the January 15 deadline. AFP PHOTO/ANNA ZIEMINSKI (Photo credit should read ANNA ZIEMINSKI/AFP via Getty Images)
