Myuran Sukumaran Portrait Session

Sukumaran is passionate painter, and has been conducting art classes to other inmates in the Kerobokan jail. He has also been getting tips from famous Australian artist Ben Quilty, who has been visiting the inmate in Kerobokan jail as a friend and mentor. The Bali Nine is the popular name given to a group of nine Australians arrested on April 17, 2005 in Bali for planning to smuggle 8.3 kg (18 lb) of heroin valued at about A$4 million from Indonesia to Australia. The only Australians on death row in Indonesia are Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran. Indonesia resumed executing drug smugglers earlier this month, and Chan and Sukumaran have been denied presidential pardons. Both Sukumaran and Chan are currently in Kerobokan Prison awaiting the completion of their sentence via execution, having exhausted all appeal opportunities.
