Archeologists work around an ancient statue discovered the day before at the Heraclea Sintica archeological site, near the city of Petrich on July 5, 2024. A perfectly preserved ancient statue was discovered on July 4, 2024 at the site of the ancient city of Heraclea Sintica, in south-western Bulgaria, the team leader Ludmil Vagalinski announced. This very well preserved statue, with the head still on the shoulders, is "unique for Bulgaria.
