Protest Against The Construction Of Helipads In Higashi

Anti U.S base protesters staged a sit in protest blocking the road to protest against the construction of helipads near the gate of U.S. military's Northern Training Area in the village of Higashi, Takae, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan on September 14, 2016. The Japanese government is allowing the use of its own Japan Air Self-Defense Force military helicopters Boeing CH-47 to get construction heavy equipments past the protesters on Tuesday, September 13 in order to speed up completion of six new helipads to be use by U.S Military.
