An engraving of Stephen (1105-1154), King of England (1135-1154), who was the third son of Stephen Henry, Count of Blois and Chartres, and Adela, daughter of William the Conqueror. He usurped the Kingdom of England, which caused him to be vexed with continual wars. He died at the age of 40 and lies buried at Feversham.
