CINEMA-AUDREY HEPBURN
Actress and film star Belgian born Audrey Hepburn is surrounded by reporters 29 September 1992 during a press conference after her return from Somalia where she was as UNICEF ambassador. During her career Audrey Hepburn trained at the ballet dancer, made her London debut in 1948, and was given the lead in the Broadway production of Gigi (1951). She went on to win international acclaim for Roman Holiday (1953, Oscar) in which she starred with Gregory Peck. Her popular film roles included Sabrina (1954), The Nun's Story (1959) and Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), all Oscar nominations. She travelled extensively as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF.
