Rugby Union At VIII Summer Olympics
Action in the rugby union match between France and Romania in the Stade Olympique Yves-du-Manoir in Colombes near Paris during the 1924 Summer Olympics in France on 4th May 1924. The France team would go on to win the match 59-3 and go on to win the silver medal in the final match against United States on 18th May. The final was a bad tempered game and at the awards ceremony the playing of the "Star Spangled Banner" was booed. This was the last Olympics that Rugby Union was played.
