Pakistan - Floods - Portrait in floodwaters
Abdul Rahim is photographed outside his flooded house on the outskirt of Sujawel, about a month after the area was flooded. ?The water came at 4 pm and within two hours it hit the village and flooded our house. We had no support. We tried to go to Thatta town but the road was flooded. Badin road was under water too but we got a tractor trolley and reached Badin town by another route. Everyone was so scared. Our children were very scared and they were crying. They got sick in fear. There were no facilities at the Badin camp. They did provide us with food, but the place was very congested. There were so many people there. We thought maybe the flood would have receded in our village, so we decided to come back. The water was still there, but we put up a hut and started living here.? The floods in Pakistan have affected more than 20 million people. (Photo by Gideon Mendel For Action Aid/ In Pictures/Corbis via Getty Images)
