  • Lyrics: Happily after, making the same mistakes. Happily after, making the same mistakes again. Houses of laughter. I’ve never smiled this wide before. Careless disaster. Why can’t you stop to think at all? Called in a favor for the one you can’t afford. To stay on top. Can’t even see you know you’re lost. And I hope you believe me. Find what you’re after. Don’t go to far, too far from home. Minefield reactor. One false move and you’ll be gone. Planned for and drafted. Wheels set in motion for the day. Happily after. Making the same mistakes again. Called in a favor for the one you can’t afford. To stay on top. Can’t even see you know you’re lost. And I hope you believe me. Hope you still see me. Do you listen? Fight to the finish don’t fall from the Vatican. Fight to be finished don’t fall to the very end. The very end.

About Chicane Theory

Things Look Up Again

After a brief hibernation, my Minneapolis-based rock outfit Chicane Theory is thawing out the winter’s cold with a new full-length album, Things Look Up Again, due out in May. The new tracks feature a broad range of vintage guitar tones from dissonant speaker-ripping fuzz to hauntingly beautiful tape echoes, dynamic drum beats, and accessible vocal melodies. The new disc has drawn comparisons to Foo Fighters, GBV, Pink Floyd and Jawbox to name a few.
