  • Lyrics: A long time ago, the story starts above the hills of snow. I saw an old man in a bungalow, way up north where it’s cold. He was a fisherman, poor but doing the best that he can. He saw that I was a stranger in a strange land, so he offered to me his boat. Now, we were out all day, the sea air blowing the breeze to the bay. Every fish he caught, he just gave it away. He threw it right back in the sea, and he turns to me, and he said: “You cannot save your love, you’ve got to give it up. You can’t hide your feeling inside, saving for a rainy day.” But when I got back home, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was all alone, lost in a world that grown so cold… devoid of humanity. Woe is me. Because all the people I meet, rock singers, right-wingers, even the kids in the street. They’re piling on each other so furiously. It’s called insecurity…now repeat after me, and say: “You cannot save your love, you’ve got to give it up. You can’t hide your feeling inside, saving for a rainy day. The world don’t have enough off that sweet, sweet stuff. You can’t hide your feeling inside, saving for your dying day.” Your pupils are going to dilate. Your cells will no longer respirate. And then it will be much too late to give it away….on your dying day. “You cannot save your love, you’ve got to give it up. You can’t hide your feeling inside, saving for a rainy day. The world don’t have enough off that sweet, sweet stuff. You can’t hide your what you’re feeling inside, saving for your dying day.” You cannot save your love. You cannot save your love until your dying day.
