Jimmy Stofer has been writing, recording and performing music for over 15 years. His discography and live performance resume is complimented by an impressive list of artists that include The Fray, The Flobots, Rose Hill Drive, Cary Brothers, Crosby Loggins, Meese, The Damnwells and countless others. He has performed on some of the finest stages in the world and a number of such performances were televised on programs like Jay Leno, David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, Good Morning America, Craig Ferguson and Ellen. His solo debut continues to deliver on expectation and represents a musical voice and means of expressing himself that far exceeds that of the noble side-man we've grown so accustomed to.
With his latest endeavor, Weather Maps, Stofer conveys an ambition in depth and mournful solitude that translates to the listener with ease. The album, Places, had its soft release in August of 2010 and is quickly finding its place among the ranks of recordings by Mason Jennings and Andrew Bird as yet another DIY masterpiece from the Midwest.
