DJ Scandalous, an international rapper with numerous credits to his name, is a high-energy artist/performer originally from Chicago. The audience feels his energy and leaves knowing they participated in something great.
A renowned producer and recording artist, DJ Scandalous has written over 500 songs of all genres and has produced over 300 tracks. His lyrical skills include writing “Can’t Get Used To Losing You” and “True Love” (uncredited; which appears on the album “Time For Love”) for Stevie Wonder, Raynald Miner (famous songwriter credited for “Rescue Me”, “(Your Love) Is Lifting Me Higher,” and more), and Fabrice Sioul (former vocal coach, producer for the French television show “Star Academy” who is now A&R for Sony Music), including his overseas hit, “This Is The Time.” He also produced and wrote for country/pop artist Heather Guidry, who was scouted by MCA.
Recently featured in over 10 major hip-hop community print and online hip-hop magazines, he has produced tracks for many underground artists in the U.S. as well as for major artists in Canada, France, Belgium, and Switzerland, such artists as Matt Houston (OnTheTrack/Universal France), K-Maro (Warner France), Sonny Black (Universal France), and Catherine Ferry (Warner France). DJ Scandalous has since moved to California to better pursue his music career, and he is now collaborating with French R&B singer Matt Houston, (who has sold over two million records overseas, earning a Victoire Award (Grammy to the US) in the category R&B) on their first album together and they have released the singles, “Boyfriend/Girlfriend,” and “Ghetto Love,” which appears on Matt Houston’s album by Universal/Barclay.
The two performers are popular around the world and in every language. Matt Houston’s video, “Booty Shake” received over 850,000 views in the year it has been on YouTube, amongst other videos that have combined for over 2,500,000 views. DJ Scandalous released his video, “Shawty A Gangsta” on April 13, 2011, with Matt Houston, featuring Bad Boy/Konvict/Interscope’s Red Café and Napoleon Da Legend, with a hot appearance by celebrity supermodel Rosa Acosta, received over 40,000 views in five days, but was then removed and later replaced with an age restriction. The video received honors from YouTube as one of the most viewed videos in a day from both France and the U.S. The video was even a top tweet on Twitter and has been featured on many hip-hop websites, including Funkmaster Flex’s inflexwetrust.com and thisis50.com.
DJ Scandalous’ most recent song/video, “Sex Toy” featuring Trina, of Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic was recently released and can also be seen at www.youtube.com/djscandaloustv. The song has been proven to be popular with views on YouTube reached 100,000 in a week’s time, with honors coming from around the world, including Brazil, and the U.S. for most views in a day and week. His channel also received honors during the week of April 18th, 2011 as being one of the most subscribed musician by YouTube.
