Zender’s rich, insistent voice lends an introspective quality to his lyrics, which explore how we go about finding divine love amidst the distractions of our day-to-day lives. His songs deal with the struggle to tear down the protective walls surrounding our egos. It’s these walls that keep us from feeling the healing presence of God. Can we recognize Him in the smallest corners of our daily existence? In the people who surround us or in the simple glory of a day well lived? Dennis Zender has been working in music ministry for the past eight years and is currently the music director for the Holy Cross Catholic Parish in Lake Stevens, Washington. While he roots his ministry at Holy Cross he travels the Northwest leading worship concerts and contemporary Adoration services at multiple parishes, Christian cafés and youth conventions. Prior to his full commitment to music ministry, he spent six years as the lead singer and songwriter for the Sony Records rock band Truce. In 2008, Walls marked his debut as a Christian artist.
