Beninghove’s Hangmen is a NYC-based sextet that produces a menacing yet playful sound that is at once familiar, fun, and uniquely original. Their songs have been featured on Comedy Central, IFC, and most places left of center. The music, all composed by bandleader/saxophonist Bryan Beninghove, began as a Tom Waits-meets-Danny Elfman project and later progressed into a Tarantino-esque guitar-driven romp.
Bryan currently resides in the NYC area where he performs regularly with the french gypsy band "Manouche Bag", different jazz ensembles, and "Beninghove's Hangmen". He recently completed a set of gigs with Flava Flav of Public Enemy.
