Mikey Wehling was raised on 60’s rock, traditional folk, and Chicago blues. Mikey began playing piano as soon as he was old enough to sit up. By the time he was standing, he was playing guitar, first heavily influenced by Led Zepplin, Hendrix and Nirvana. He later attended the prestigious University of North Texas to pursue his growing interest in improvisation and jazz. A follower of DIY and analogue culture, Mikey creates his own music using cassettes, dirty guitars, garage sale keyboards, electronics, tape echoes, and basements.
