Ken Eichler, a.k.a. A.B. Franklin, is a producer, songwriter, composer, arranger, recording engineer, and musician. A versatile guitarist with eclectic tastes, Ken excels in a variety of musical styles including, blues, rock, country, jazz, reggae, r&b, and instrumentals.
Ken received his bachelor's in music from The State University of New York at Oswego where he played lead guitar with the university's big band during his freshman through junior years.
Ken studied recording engineering at the Institute of Audio Research in NY and went on to work as a recording and mastering engineer in several NYC studios prior to building his own studio.
Ken's music and productions have received much critical acclaim and airplay around the world and have been featured on radio, tv, and film. Recent placements include TLC's "NY Ink", Velocity's "Saw Dogs" and Telemundo's "Levantate".
Ken has appeared live and recorded with many fine musicians including Kevin “Dr. C” Crutchfield, Vito Luizzi, Baron Raymonde, Mark Rivera, Liberty DeVito, Billy Falcon, Tony Kedlack, Dave Weckyl, Stephan Sechi, Gil Parris, Tommy "Pipes" McDonnell and many others.
Ken records at his own fully equipped and state-of-the-art Sliding Door Studios and produces for AB Franklin Productions and Could Loom Records. Ken is actively placing music with other artists and in TV, film, and other commercial applications.
Recent independent CD production credits include The Bam Bam Project's "Unfinished Business", The Hip Pocket Band's "Returns", Harpist Lois Colin's "Monica's Wedding", The Tessera String Band's "Tessera String Band", Set To Stun's "Set To Stun", Pam Sklar's "A Tune For America".
Ken collaborates with many other artists as producer, arranger, and co-writer.
